What does this do?
Before each round, students pick what kind of pathogen they think it is (virus, bacteria, fungus or parasite). A right guess narrows down the cure; a wrong one teaches the real answer. This overrides each student's own setting — on if they turned it off, off if they turned it on.
What does this do?
When a student loses (the population is lost or a region collapses), they automatically see that pathogen's cure — the same as pressing "Show me the Cure", just automatic, so a pathogen they never met still teaches them something.

What does this do?
Turn a competitive mode OFF for just this class — for example a period spent on Endless and Pandemic recipe practice. Endless and Pandemic are always available and can't be turned off. Starting an activity from the Live Dashboard still works even while it is OFF here.
Accommodations
What does this do?
An IEP/504 accommodation: it slows the timer in Endless and Pandemic for every student in this class, so they don't have to set it themselves on a shared Chromebook. "Off" leaves each student's own personal choice in effect.
